Edward Heredia is a Colombian director and filmmaker based in London, UK.
After studying Fine Arts in the Middle-East, Edward moved to the UK where he earned a degree in Film and Moving Image Production at the Norwich University of the Arts.
Early in 2020, Edward completed his passion project “DUELO”;
a narrative exploration into the effects of trauma in the context of grief, currently on a festival circuit and was awarded Best Drama at the Norfolk Film Festival.
Soon after, Edward wrote and directed his latest narrative short film “PAPERCUT”, an intimate, poignant and surreal exploration of a turbulent mother and son relationship. It was funded and produced by the BBC Arts and Screen South as part of the New Creatives talent development scheme and it is pending to be released on the BBC iPlayer.
“PAPERCUT” is currently on a festival run where it has earned a Best Composing Nomination at the BAFTA-Qualifying Underwire Film Festival, as well as earning a Best Social Drama Nominee, Emerging Talent Nominee and an Honourable Mention at the New Renaissance Film Festival.
Edward is now in development of multiple music and branded content projects as well as developing his third narrative short film.
